We headed up to Willow Springs Lake this weekend ~ finally getting the fishing boat out of the garage. What a beautiful day it was. No Chores, No Phones, No Crowds just soft breezes, brisk air and sparkling water and the promise of catching some fish.
Spotted this lovely Great Blue Heron ~ I think he had better luck fishing then we did.
Then the Osprey ~ scouting for when we actually caught something he could swoop down and snag an easy dinner. To his dismay that never happened.Local River Otter scouting for Fish

OMG Sooozee!!! I just love, adore that steel drum you did-Moroccan style!!! I would use it as a base for a round tabletop or...maybe use it as base for a shelf of some sort. I just love shelves..i don't know why...its an illness I tell you!!!
I am not much of a fishing person but your pics look so tranquil. Looks like heaven. How is hubby coming along? At least he has his sense of humor and...YOU!!!
I know what you mean about those icky days! Must be the water for sure:)
Dear sweet sweet Sooooze!!!I hope you had an over the top fantastic Mother's Day-full of love and warmth..hugs and kisses...and of course, chocolate!! Wishing you the very best ..xxx
Now that's the life. Love it!
SZQ - sometimes I think it is one's duty to the fish just to go and feed them - but have a relaxing time whilst you do - and you do look relaxed in the photo. Fiona and I spent each afternoon fishing for two weeks when working in the NT recently. Fiona caught one tiny fish and one tiny crab; and I caught nothing - but the sunsets were great to watch. B
